BREAKING: IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Raises Alarm, Says Nigerian Soldiers Are Abducting Biafrans In Ozubulu, Ihiala In Anambra

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has raised alarm concerning the reported ongoing abduction of people, who are mainly Biafrans, in Ozubulu and Ihiala, in Anambra State by the Nigerian Army.

JournalReporters had reported how the Soldiers of the Nigerian Army occupied the main route in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state, at the wee hour of Wednesday, March 31st, allegedly molesting and extorting motorists. 

It was also learnt that the area of military occupation in Ihiala is a major and easiest route through which all travellers going to-and-fro Southeast to Southwest States are expected to follow.

JournalReporters also gathered that the Nigerian soldiers had usurped a popular junction close to St Jude's Secondary School in the area since two days ago.

Distressing report already at our news desk showed that soldiers of the Nigerian Army were whisking residents away from the school: "Many of our youths have been whisked away and nobody can confirm where they are taken to. This road block has caused motorists to sleep on the highway due to Traffic caused by these Soldiers."_local sources who pledged anonymity told JournalReporters

Kanu noted that the Nigerian soldiers he described as ‘Fulani soldiers’ arrived in over 30 Toyota Hilux.

Nnamdi Kanu wrote;

“RED ALERT Police cars revolving light!!!

“There are confirmed sightings of ongoing abductions & kidnappings of people around OZUBULU and IHIALA right now by Fulani terrorists/soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

“They arrived in over 30 Toyota Hilux vans. Some were seen patrolling on foot around these areas.”

Nigerian Army had vowed to deal with regions and persons seeking to disintegrate the country.

Indigenous people from the Eastern region, that the military has reportedly laid siege, has been agitating for an independent state of Biafra – a force that will lead to the breakup of Nigeria. 

It has however gained more momentum, international sympathy and sympathizers since the offshoot of the dreaded Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

IPOB, continuously and peacefully, had been demanding for a referendum process/date to determine their fate in Nigeria but the Nigeria government has continued to use military force in a bid to suppress and quell their collective resolve to restore Biafra, to no avail.
