The Governor Of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has warned those launching Attacks in Government facilities In the State to desist, stating that days of mindless criminality and Attacks are over.
Uzodimma, who spoke on Saturday in a state-wide broadcast to mark Workers Day in Owerri, said the recent attack on his country home and other attacks on some institutions in the state were attempts to ‘cow Imo people into submission.’
He, however, reiterated his resolve to protect the lives and property of the people, no matter what it takes.

Uzodimma said ‘disgruntled politicians’ who were afraid of his achievements in the state were responsible for the attacks, which he said were targeted at creating a false sense of insecurity in the state.
“I must warn that the days of mindless criminality in the state are over. Let me use this opportunity to assure all Imo people that I will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the security and safety of all of us.
“Be rest assured that my administration is willing and capable of protecting the lives and property of all Imo people and residents alike,” he said.
He promised a “new dawn” for workers in the state.
