Genuine Elders Live In Their Communities Not In Abuja__Kanu Reacts Over "Faceless" Igbo Elder Group In Abuja

On Thursday December 17, 2020, news had it that an Igbo Elder Group in Abuja, headed by one Dr Festus Edochie allegedly feigned at the newly floated Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Recall that ESN was birthed due to the increasing terrors of Fulani herdsmen in Eastern region Nigeria, the Biafran territory seeking for an independent nation. The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), a separatists movement had officially launched the ESN on December 12, 2020.

The apex sociocultural Igbo group, Ohaneze amongst other have endorsed and supported the secret outfit saying it is the best option to end terror in the region as obtainable in other parts of the country- Amotekun in west, Hisbah in north.

While reacting to the purported news of unidentifiable Igbo elders in Abuja, IPOB leader, Kanu describes such group and chairperson as "DSS manufactured Dr Festus Edochie" who doesn't exist in real life.

"Nigeria DSS are indeed very funny. The concocted story that a faceless ‘Igbo Elders’ group came out yesterday against #ESN confirms that Nigeria is indeed a cesspit of lies, subterfuge and deception."__Kanu said

Kanu also blames media houses in Nigeria for lack of investigative journalism, saying that had the media houses bothered to do simple Google search, they would have discovered that nobody by the name Dr Festus Edochie exists.

"Had Nigeria media houses and newspapers bothered to do simple Google search, they would have discovered that nobody by the name Dr Festus Edochie exists. But in return for a brown envelope from DSS, perhaps containing 4,575 Naira only they  all rushed to deceive their readers by publishing outright lies peddled by the DSS. Common video of the so-called press conference they can’t show us. Mad people everywhere!"__Kanu pointed out

In addition, he maintains that genuine elders live in their communities not in Abuja.

"There is no Igbo Elders group based in Abuja. Genuine elders live in their communities not in Abuja. No Afenifere elder lives in Abuja. Even terror sponsoring Fulani elders do not live in Abuja but DSS in their infinite stupidity thought that situating their fake Igbo Elders group in Abuja is a good idea. Pathetic!
