Tension springs up in Bassa, Kukoki communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State after Boko Haram terrorists invaded the areas, abducting not less than 50 residents.
JOURNAL REPORTERS gathered that the terrorists, in alliance with bandits, attacked the areas in their numbers on Wednesday and early Thursday, from Bassa, Kukoki communities up to Palalli in Gurmana Ward of the same Shiroro LGA.
Residents state that during the deadly invasion, a yet-to-be-ascertained number of persons were killed as the people continue to live in fear.
Last Tuesday, the bandits and terrorists also in one daylight attacked Kokki in Gurmana Ward, Magami in Manta Ward and Maguga, Marenje and other nearby villages using 10 motorbikes, kidnapped many persons and killed a few others.
"Bassa is currently under siege. Terrorists in their large numbers in the early hours of today, Thursday, barged into our town and rained violence on unsuspecting and defenceless locals."_a local source told Sahara Reporters
Casualties and losses were recorded during attacks in Palalli, in Gurmana ward of Shiroro Local Government Area and Rumache, Masuku and other neighbouring villages in Bassa and Kukoki wards of the same LGA.
The nefarious activities of criminals have become the order of the day and the residents are in desperate need of security agencies.
At the moment, almost all communities and villages from Lakpma axis of Shiroro LGA have been sacked, while the affected locals continue to live in uncertainty while dreading terrorists actions.
