Yoruba Editors' Greed, Spiteful Hatred For Biafra, Biased Reportages Responsible For Fulani Encroachment In Yoruba Land – Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has accused the Yoruba Editors, Journalists, as well as their Media CEOs, as being responsible for the massive influx of alien Fulanis, believed to be vandals, into Yoruba land.
JournalReporters at the early hours of Thursday, received a video which captured at least five (5) fully loaded trailers set to offload Fulani nomads, whose identities are yet to be known.
Recall that the executive governor of Ondo, Akeredolu had complained bitterly that foreign Fulani are entering the state via Oke axis, and have been commiting heinous crimes from their hideouts in Ondo state Forest reserve.
"These felons have turned our forest reserves into hideouts for keeping victims of kidnapping, negotiating for ransom and carrying out other criminal activities." Akeredolu said
JournalReporters also recalled a report by former Yoruba Intelligent Officer, on how Fulani herdsmen usurped forest reserves in ten local government area in Ondo.
Reacting in a statement, Kanu noted that the inability of Yoruba media houses, especially their Editors and Journalists, to report Fulani Herdsmen's destructive activities objectively, probably because of their (perceived) hatred for Biafra or greed to attain Political height in Nigeria brought about the illegal encroachment by Fulani herdsmen.
The IPOB boss disclosed this in a statement he personally signed on his Facebook account on Thursday.
Mentioning the names of Yoruba Editors and their Chief Executive Officers,CEOs, Nnamdi Kanu encouraged them to live up to expectation and start reporting objectively or history will forever hold them responsible for being blind to reality of the danger the Fulani posed
He wrote, "Adeniyi Adesina - Nation Newspaper, Ademola Osinubi - Chief Editor of Punch Newspaper, Ademola Oni - Daily Editor of Punch Newspaper, Omokioja Julius Eto - Daily Times, Omoyele Sowore - Sahara reporters, CHANNELS TV PRESENTERS Joke Rogers, Maupe Ogun Yusuf, Ayotunde Balogun, Temitope Fagbemi, Melinda Akinlami, Shola Soyele, Mayowa Ogundele, Mary Alale - Yusuf, Olukayode Alayande
"This video is your gift to the Yoruba nation. When the history of the conquest of Yorubaland by Fulani Janjaweed is written, your names will be alongside the great traitor Afonja. You allowed your greed and spiteful hatred for Biafra blind you to the reality of the danger the #Fulani posed. You wanted to destroy Biafra and IPOB but you ended up destroying your land. Shame!"
