Aftermath Of #EndSARS Protest: Did Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Forsaw And Forwarned Of What Was To Come Should Nigeria Youths Relax The Protest - by Chinedu Okenwa
DJ Switch is on the run to Canada, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) freezed the accounts of Nine (20) Nigerian citizens And Counting. Who might be the next victim or person to run for his/her dear life as Nigeria government, through her agencies and institutions embarked on massive house to house hunt down, freezing accounts of pro #EndSARS protesters?
Prior to this very epoch, not minding that Nigeria has been rated a lawless and failed State by some international observers, nobody including the intelligentsia, elites and the Nigerian prophets ever predicted, thought or imagined that the Federal Government of Nigeria will one day embark on house to house hunt down of her citizens because they exercised their civic democratic franchise or rights- agitating an end to SARS and police brutality, except Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the largest Separatist Movement, IPOB and a known defender of all oppressed ethnicities in Nigeria was the only man who forsaw what was to come. He had adviced the Nigeria youths to remain resolute, undeterred and uncompromising in what he described as the "Beginning of Mass Revolution" which will bring the positive change Nigerians ever yearned for"; And, as if a prophet warning them of the danger ahead should they ever contemplate quicking the protest.

In Nigeria, there abound several cases; where the security apparatus and men on police uniform arrested and detained innocent citizens who were only trying to be patriotic by reporting a criminal events; where a military personnel, without thinking twice, shot citizens on the basis that those people insulted him. If that be the case, imagine when you have risen to demand a deformation or an end to such entity.
The Youths of Nigeria never reasoned to such extent, they never contemplated what would have happened should we start this and not finishing it. Although Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reminded and forwarned them, they were stiffnecked.
Like Lot's wife in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Nigerian Youths got obsessed with the need of the stomach over their freedom and started breaking banks, ceasing the property to steal from fellow hungry citizens, looking for where to burgle palliatives warehouse thereby neglecting the core essence of what and why they started the protest in the first place.
The rationale behind the disobedience of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's advice by Nigeria youths could have likely been the contributory factors to the sufferings and subjugation of not just Nigerians but African people; Black people tend to see and prioritize the need of the stomach over that of our freedom.
Was DJ Switch among those that cajoled Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for speaking against what he (DJ Switch) is facing and running away from now? Can he join forces with those seeking the disintegration of Nigeria considering this worst experience of his? Is what is happening now an indication for urgent need to end Nigeria in other to save lives as pro Biafra agitators are doing?
Nobody can ever boast of being safe in Nigeria again. This is sad!
