A Nigerian American born, an activist well known for his #FreeLeahSharibu social media campaign and a #BuhariTormentor slogan, one of the bestselling author per say, an avid traveler and the Hollywood Mag Film Festival Humanitarian of 2019, Bemigho Reno Omokri dares the Senior Media Aide to President Buhari, Garba Shehu.
Recall that Garba Shehu, while granting an interview to UK journalist, denied the many cases of killing, kidnapping and banditry happening in Nigeria, saying that there is no more insecurity in the country. Garba claims that Buhari's administration has brought insurgency to zero level.
Reno, in a video clip and a tweet on his official tweeter account @renoomokri, has vowed to pay Garba Shehu $20000, an equivalent to ten million naira, if he (Garba) accepts to spend just a night without security in his residents in Koshobe, or Kware, under the watch of an independent journalist.
"Garba Shehu said General @MBuhari has made Nigeria safer. I vow to pay @GarShehu $20000 if he will spend a night without security in Koshobe, or Kware, verified by an independent journalist. I will give the funds to @DeleMomodu when Garba accepts to go"
Bemigho Reno Omokri is also lawyer. Omokri was the host of Transformation with Reno Omokri, a Christian teaching TV show broadcast on San Francisco's KTLN and Detroit's Impact Network. He is the founder of a multimedia project, Build Up Nigeria, and has produced a series of short films in the U.S
Rather than accepting the challenge, Garba has tweeted,
"If this is the money from the collections made in the name of Leah Sharibu, the unfortunate Christian girl stolen by Boko Haram, I won’t touch it with a long. Please keep “your USD20000”.__Garba Shehu
In what seems like a media war between the dyad, Reno replied
"Dear @GarShehu,
"I challenge you and the #Buhari administration, or anyone for that matter, to come up with proof that I have made even a penny from #FreeLeahSharibu.
"That aside, please focus on the issue at hand and accept my challenge. Stop dribblingdribbling__Reno tweeted
