This warning is coming at the time when there seems to be abuse and rampant usage of the name by pro-Biafra impersonators, mostly owned and controlled, by those he describes as agents of DSS.
Kanu make it clear that he is not against anybody opening their own media platform to propagate whatever message they deem fit but however, the name Radio Biafra should exclusively reserved for IPOB worldwide family alone.
According to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,
"We are NOT against anybody opening their own media platform to propagate whatever message they deem fit. However the name RADIO BIAFRA is exclusive to the worldwide family of IPOB and cannot be used by any person or persons outside the command structure of our noble movement.

"To do otherwise is to invite unimaginable calamity on ones head. Those traitors & saboteurs being egged on by DSS and other Nigeria agencies to name their outfit Radio Biafra MUST understand that such move is tantamount to suicide. There will be no mercy.
