Equip Nigerians With Ak-47 And And See If They Will Still Run From Bandit__FFK Blasts Defence Minister, Magashi
A former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to a statement credited to the Minister of Defence, General Bashir Magashi, advising Nigerians to stop being cowards and defend themselves against bandits.
General Magashi, while speaking on insecurity and bandits’ attacks, had taunted Nigerians as cowards who run away from bandits whom he claimed possess only three rounds of ammunition on most operational cases.
Fani-Kayode described Gen Magashi as a failure, daring him to equip Nigerians with AK-47 and see if they will still run.
In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain said Nigerians won’t run away from bandits if armed with weapons.
He wrote: “The Defence Minister says Nigerians are cowards, that they always run when attacked by terrorists and that they should defend and protect themselves.
“Does he know that it is his job to protect the people, and he failed?
“Equip every Nigerian with an AK 47 and see if they will still run.”
