Nigerian Government, Military Have Crossed The Rubicon__Kanu Reacts To Military Air Strikes In Orlu

The leader of the largest separatists mass movement – Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the air strikes on some parts of Orlu LGA of Imo state, by the Nigerian military forces in search for camps allegedly occupied by the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The operations on Thursday afternoon, which caused tension and anxiety, sent residents of Orlu and Orsu local government areas of Imo State scampering for safety.

Many well meaning Nigerians query the rationale behind military deployment of gunship in a peaceful Orlu town, despite the growing number of insurgents in the northern region. Some have asked "has ESN officials kidnap, kill or rape anybody that would warrant search on them?"

Reacting to the military air strikes, the IPOB leader in a memo signed by Mazi Chika Edoziem, Head of Directorate of States (HDOS) on Thursday February 18, said the Federal Government of Nigeria, through its military forces, have brought war upon the Biafran people.

The statement thereby called on its members to maintain high level of discipline and be ready to follow directive as will be issued by Nnamdi Kanu as time goes by.

"The have finally brought the war upon the Biafran people

"The Nigerian government through its military has finally declared open confrontation with the biafran people in their bid to harass, intimidate and cow us into submission to relinquish our ancestral lands to foreign fulani terrorists. The Indigenous People of Biafra,  IPOB, worldwide must gird their loins and be prepared for the long drawn out battke ahead.

"The leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, make bold to state unequivocally that there shall be no inch of Biafran land (Biafran territory) to be ceded to the Fulani marauders from the Sahel. The Nigerian Army has thrown the gauntlet and we the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, shall accept their challenge because there will neither be retreat nor surrender on this our journey to liberty and freedom.

"Now that the Nigerian government has activated its final solutions to the Biafran question with helicopter gunship in orlu, they have crossed the line of no return and for us the IPOB there is only one option that is open for us. We MUST defend everh inch of our ancestral lands and we MUST defend our inalienable right to live in the land of our ancestors as a free people to develop our CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA given talents for the benwfit and elevation of our people just like our ancestors did thousand of years before us.

"Every IPOB family member should be very conscious of the time we have entered and exhibit the highest level of discipline and be ready to follow every directive as will be issued by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide"
