Soldiers of the Nigerian Army has reportedly occupied the main route in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state, at the wee hour of Wednesday, molesting and extorting motorists.
Journal Reporters learnt that the reported area of military occupation in Ihiala is a major and easiest route through which all travellers going to-and-fro Southeast to Southwest States are expected to follow.
It was also gathered that the Nigerian soldiers had usurped a popular junction close to St Jude's Secondary School in the area since two days ago.
Distressing report reaching our news desk claimed that: the military personnels are abducting and whisking youths away from the usurped junction; traffic conjection has been prevalent as a result of the stop and check activities of the military.
"As I make this report today 31/3/21, many of our youths have been whisked away and nobody can confirm where they are taken to. This road block has caused motorists to sleep on the highway due to Traffic caused by these Soldiers."_local reporter who pledged anonymous told JournalReporters
Journal Reporters had earlier reported how the Nigerian Army vowed to deal with regions and persons seeking to disintegrate the country.
Indigenous people from the Eastern region, that the military has reportedly laid siege, has been at the forefront of Nigeria's break up. It has gain more momentum, international sympathy and sympathizers since the offshoot of the dreaded Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
IPOB, continuously and peacefully, had been demanding for a referendum process/date to determine their fate in Nigeria but the Nigeria government has continued to use military force to suppress and quell their collective resolve to restore Biafra.
