Imo Prison Attack: A Staged Managed Ploy To Blackmail, Justify Untenable Terrorist Tag On IPOB – Observers Nullify 'Snappy Police Report

Following the latest invasion of Imo State Correctional Centre in Owerri, were group of unknown gunmen attacked security agents and freed about 2000 inmates, the snappy report by the Nigerian Police Headquarters, many online Observers believed to be conversant with the news trail have accused the Nigerian government and its security agencies of stage-managing the attack in other to blackmail IPOB.

It should be recalled that the Nigerian government had in 2017 proscribed IPOB and it's activities as "terrorists organisation", however, without cogent backup from any Competent Court in Nigeria. 

The proscription tag followed the failed attempt of the Nigerian Armed Forces to eliminate IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his residential home in Afara-ukwu Ibekwu, in Umuahia LGA, Abia State. 28 IPOB members died as a result of the sporadic shooting by Nigerian Army and in defense of their leader, Kanu.

Pondering the police report, they (Observers) noted that the snappy report that members of IPOB and Eastern Security Network, ESN, are the perpetrators of the said attack, few hours after the incident and without evidence, showed the government was cooking up something behind the scene to discredit, blackmail and justify the indefensible proscription of IPOB.

Speaking on the prisoners who allegedly refused to flee, the observers queried the rationale on why inmates seeking means to exit prison camp would suddenly oppose to run at the slightest opportunity if not one geared to use them as false witnesses; the signs are obvious.
