JUST IN: Fulani Fighterss Arrive Afikpo North LGA Few Hours After Prof Osibanjo's Visit In Ebonyi State– Report
A distressing report from TBRV, a prestigious news agency of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has it that a group of Fulani fighters has arrived Afikpo North local government area of Ebonyi state Monday evening.
The developing news sequeled the solidarity visit of the Nigerian vice president, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, who earlier today visited the affected areas of Fulani killer herdsmen's massacre in the state, at the order of his boss, President Buhari.
Osibanjo during the visit promised that Nigerian security agents will be deployed to secure residents in the area, called upon citizens to provide security agencies with vital information.
"At the direction of President @MBuhari, I visited Ededege in Isielu LGA and and Effium in Ohaukwu LGA in Ebonyi State today first to commiserate with the families and secondly to engage with leaders of the communities on some pertinent issues
"We are confronting these acts of violence with a better model of cooperation and integration. We are in conversation with the GOC about securing the communities as well as strengthening relationships with the local community so they share more information with law enforcement." Osibanjo said.
But contrary to Osibanjo's promise, TBRV report reveals that there is a mass influx of Fulani fighters in Afikpo North this evening and at the time of filling this report.
It reads, "If you are in Afikpo and environ please don't sleep from tonight. Be at alert.
"Information reaching our news desk has it that 3 hilux fully loaded with F*la*ni fighters and motorcycles carrying 3 Fulani herdsmen on each of them arrived Amasiri in Afikpo North Local government area of Ebonyi state.
"Upon their arrival, they noticed that people of the area have already heard of their coming, and as the place is no longer safe for them, they immediately moved to Oziza the same Afikpo North.
"The information has it that it was the F*la*ni that are living in that area that welcomed them and are also leading them around the area.
"The information as well stated that they are to stay with those that welcomed them for about two to three days, then they will launch attack and leave the place immediately after the attack to where they came from".
