Rev. Fr. Luka Benson Yakusak, a priest in charge of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Anchuna, Ikulu Chiefdom in the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State has reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

It was learnt that the Priest was abducted on Monday night, September 13, by the gunmen suspected to be bandits.

The gunmen stormed the priest’s official residence and whisked him away to an unknown destination, a source revealed.

However, the Hausa Christians Foundation took to their Facebook to mobilise prayers for the abducted Priest tagged prayer alert.

“Fr. Benson Yakusak in Ikulu Chiefdom of Zagon Kataf LGA, Kaduna State, was kidnapped by "unknown gunmen" this yesterday's night (13-09-2021).

"Join us to pray for God's intervention concerning this God's servant. We shall not loss this one to these evil people in Jesus Name. Amen!

Meanwhile, one of the Facebook users, Austin Davou, noted that Christians had been killed innumerable times since Nasir El-Rufai became the state governor.

"Since El Rufai became governor, Christians have been killed regularly and now Christian leaders; the Christian Association of Nigeria must rise up to challenge the president on the happenings in Kaduna State; enough of the bloodshed in Kaduna State,” he said.
