Buba Galadima, an ex-loyalist of President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that Nigerians are half-dead under Buhari's administration, noting that the government lacks the will to fight insecurity.
Galadima, who spoke with SaharaReporters on Thursday night asserted that Buhari has reached his capacity and may break if overstretched.
"To be fair to the man, I don't believe he can do anything. Buhari has reached his capacity and if you overstretch him, he may break. Someone can only do something if he listens to wise counsel and if he associates and mingles with other people because nobody is an island of knowledge.
"Buhari has no friends with whom he discusses and he has no associates that can talk to him one on one, man to man. He only has subordinates who are looking for what they can get, they cannot advise him, but can only tell him what he wants to hear," he said.
The former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) also noted that he believes Buhari's subordinates will force him to interfere with the electoral process because of the sins they have committed against the people.
"He cannot innovate anything, he has done his best but his best is not good enough for the country. We are saying what can we do, and how can we ease him out without breaking the glass? He is like living in a China shop because he will interfere with the electoral process; they will force him to interfere because of the sins they have committed against the people of this country. They will force him to intervene on their behalf and not on behalf of the country," he added.
Galadima suggested that a war cabinet should be formed by the government, stressing that Buhari must accept ideas from technocrats and security experts.
He said, "A war cabinet should be formed in a situation with security challenges like we have found ourselves in this country; it is more like we are in a war. He needs to devote 24/7 (all his time) of his time to the issue of security, he has to consistently meet with service chiefs and consistently get information from independent sources such that whenever he discusses with the service chiefs, he is well equipped with knowledge and information to confront them.
"He must accept ideas from technocrats and security experts such that he will be able to process the information, save the facts and act on them.
"In a war situation, you give target to your commanders, and those who couldn't fulfill the target, you let them out and you reward those that have performed and achieved the target."
He explained that Nigerians are living half-dead under Buhari's administration while urging the President to abandon every other thing and focus only on the security problems.
"Just imagine, kidnappers will travel through three to four villages to get their victims, with three persons on each of over 300 motorcycles, carrying AK-47s. The villagers and some passersby will call security agencies, but they always ignore them.
"Can you imagine that these people call their victims on the phone and negotiate for up to ten days and still our government can't trace them?
"These are proofs that people in high places are involved, Nigerians are living half-dead under Buhari's administration and the government lacks the will to fight insecurity.
"Buhari should abandon every other thing and focus only on security problems. If there is no security, there will be no economy. Business activities only thrive in a serene and peaceful atmosphere," he added.
