Can anyone kindly explain to me why Black people, especially those in Africa, always think or have this mentality that holding perpetrators of or, accomplice to evil accountable for their actions is ungodly? I have seek to ask this question because the level of ignorance bedeviling black reasoning is enormous, alarming and disastrous.
In Nigeria, majority of the citizens, under the cloak of warped religious belief, have always insisted that "Judgment and vengeance is of God alone", arguing that evil doers, corrupt political/sociocultural elites who are, either directly or indirectly, complicit in killing poor oppressed populace should be ignored, untouched and unaccountable.
It has also escalated to the point where sane individuals pushing for or enacting laws holding looters, killers and corrupt politicians accountable are seen as, regarded or believed to be "unbeliever" by same religious jingoists.
The spate of retarded reasoning is the basis corrupt politicians move freely in Nigeria and Africa continent at large.
In the Eastern (southeast and southsouth) part of Nigeria, there abound high concentration of governors and politicians who play hanky panky game, seek political appointments and promotions at the expense of the lives of those they are, primarily, obligated to protect. The more citizens lives are depleted on daily basis by agents of state and non state actors, the happier these governors tend to become. The reason for their happiness is not far fetch from the fact they want to impress the feudal lords in the North who have placed them in the political offices they (governors) long for.
The truth remains: Had the Israeli government, from David Ben Gurion, agreed with warp religious beliefs, Israelis lives wouldn't have mattered, respected and valued; Had UK, French, German governments respectively feigned at holding corrupt individuals accountable, civilization and development will still be unachievable in such nations. Had even Chinese government (though autocratic) allowed corrupt politicians escape without judgment, China wouldn't have attained its technological and economical feat today.
Trump would have allowed Iran or enemies alike to mess with Americans lives if he clinges to such skewed reasoning. According to President Trump: "Our embassy in Baghdad got hit Sunday by several rockets. Three rockets failed to launch. Guess where they were from: IRAN. Now we hear chatter of additional attacks against Americans in Iraq...Some friendly health advice to Iran: If one American is killed, I will hold Iran responsible. Think it over."
When will Black begin to see reason to align with Kanu's ideology, conception which is also obtainable in any civilized world?
When actually is the time I shall see Black people, for once, peck rotten eggs on looters, corrupt politicians and mass murderers like Gowon and co?
Africans must rise above religious warp beliefs, emotional weakness and psychological imbalance.
