As Nigeria State and her Government has failed in protecting, primarily, the lives of its citizen; there is an ongoing genocide in Obigbo suburb of River State, Biafra territory, of Nigeria spearheaded by the state military apparatus. The Nigeria Army, on the permission of the State governor, Nyesom Wike is going house to house killing residents suspected to be members of the separatists movement in the country.
In the north and West, Boko Haram amongst other Islamic terrorist groups are pillaging, maiming and killing those who do not believe in their ideology. So nobody is safe in the country. The World Terrorist Index had rated Nigeria second as the most dangerous place to live.

However the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reasured his people, the Biafrans that at the shortest time IPOB will rise to defend their Biafra's borders,
"As the self-inflicted violence in the North accelerates #Nigeria to its ultimate disintegration, I want all #Biafrans to know that the #IPOB is standing tall as the last buffer to secure the homeland. At the nick of time, we will rise to the occasion to defend Biafra’s borders.
