The New Year Speech credited to the President of Nigeria, General Mohammed Buhari has once again proven that the handlers of Buhari government are evil minded, dishonest and bigoted, devoid of human sympathy and empathy.
According to the Statement published, on Friday January 1, 2021, Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, titled "NEW YEAR SPEECH BY HIS EXCELLENCY, MUHAMMADU BUHARI, PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
1ST JANUARY 2021", it quoted the President Buhari as saying that the youthful, nationwide #EndSARS protest that gripped Nigeria was understandable.
"In this journey to nationhood, we have experienced the highs and lows. 2020 indeed came with a lot of challenges ranging from security and economic issues across the regions to understandable protests that were mainly led by our youths and served notice to the demand for police reforms and accountability. This government heard, this government listened and this government is committed to fulfilling the five demands of our youths, fully understanding that we all wish well for Nigeria."__Buhari said
This is where every sensible Nigerians and upholders of truth should ask this very simple question, If actually the president admitted that the citizens right to protest [as obtained during #EndSARS protest] is understandable, why the orchestrated and premeditated massacre in Lekki Toll Gate?
There is this popular saying, "it is not good for an elderly man to blow the pipe or flute from inside only to ask who blew the pipe from outside". Buhari who is in the known of military deployment against protesters is now claiming he understands the right to protest. Unbelievable!
JOURNAL REPORTERS hold it as a sense of conscientious duty to always speak the truth no matter whose ox is gored.
How can a government well known for its doggedness in deploying heavily sophiscated armed forces on peaceful Shiites, IPOB and EndSARS protesters claims to understand citizens right to freedom of peaceful protest?
How can an administration that deployed its armed forces to shoot innocent citizens in #Emene, Enugu State convince us that it understands right to peaceful gathering?
How can we rely on the chicanery of a man who vowed to kill every Nigerians than allow EndSARS protest again?
Nigerians, for how long are we going to allow these people keep riding on our collective intelligence? For how long are we going to keep listening to a government that not only supervises our untimely death, but has continuously have it ways through deceit, lies and chicanery?
The future belongs to all of us who believe in the beauty of freedom. We must all rise to confront tyrant, oppressive regime lest we all die achieving nothing and/or doing nothing.
