You're An Accomplice: Governor Umahi Under Fierce Attacks For Concealing The Sponsors Of Fulani Herdsmen's Killing Of Ebonyi Residents

The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Dave Umahi has been fiercely attacked on social media platforms, by online users believed to be people from the Eastern region of Nigeria, for admittedly saying he knows the sponsors of the #EgedegedeMassacre but would not disclose their identity.

"We have traces of the sponsors and the sponsors of those who came here. I will not disclose them.”_He said

Some of these people accused the governor of handing hand in the death of his people, by directly and actively fighting against Eastern Security Network, ESN, created by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to protect the region from Fulani killer herdsmen activities.

"The Blood of the innocent souls that was killed will soon be chasing you. You want to become president,which will never get to you..ESN want to protect the people but you rise up against them."_an online user, Peter Onyebuchi said

JournalReporters has earlier reported how Fulani killer herdsmen, whom the Eastern governors have always shielded, had launched fresh attack on Egedegede community on Monday, in Ishielu local government area of the state, killing no fewer than twenty-five (25) indigenous residents.

Concurrently, at the time of filling the report, JournalReporters also published the video where Umahi visited the scene of the occurrence on Tuesday morning, lamented that the Fulanis have betrayed him despite protecting their interests in Ebonyi state and Southeast region.

Umahi's refusal to reveal the sponsors of the killings spiked furores among the easterners who couldn't suppress their anger but descended heavily, via verbal attacks on Umahi.

You know the people that are killing your people and you do nothing about it and yet they elected you as their leader, of what use are you then. The fulanis are dear to you than your people. What a shame!!!"

Chinemerem Melody said, "Ebonyi people I wonder whether God gives them brain or did he just keeps bread on their head"

Anita Odinaka doubted if the Umahi is Igbo name, she said, "Umahi is it Igbo name? Let us think of it. The origin of this name is from Quran. In Quran there is similar names like, umaru,  Umahi there is of them in Quran. this evil man Egboni State governor he is not an Igbo man but even though he is how come this name"
