Many a times, a cadre of Intelligentsia, Politicians, News Casters and Columnists, etc complicate and contradict their unreserved opinions with conjectural and skewed words devoid of etymological facts. The need to correct the inappropriate usage of words in citation is the basis for linguistical or lexical tutorials in contemporary world.

In my findings, I discovered that the word "secession" is EXCLUSIVELY meant to depict the withdrawal of thing from its ORIGINAL position, form or state. During the Mid 16th century, and from inception of usage, the word "secession" was used to explain that the Plebeians were withdrawing from their original entity- the Ancient Roman Empire and not the other way round.

The simplest explanation to this is that whilst something is seceding, it must be a product of the older and already existing entity. Without which the term secession should be reserved.

Mr A= Father or Older Kindred

Mr B= Son or Newly found kindred

The exclusive usage of the word "secession" using the above correlating instances denotes that Mr B can secede from Mr A but on the contrary, and unrealistic, Mr B can never secede from Me B because it existed before Mr B.

Having highlighted the suitable application of the word "secession" it is therefore, baseless for any well-thought-of individual to keep asserting that Biafra is seceding from Nigeria.

From the olden map (below), it is a fact, a reality, indisputable that Biafra Kingdom was in existence before 1914, the year Nigeria was created as a "contraption and business enterprise" by the British warlord, Fredrick Lugard. The preponderance of Biafra Kingdom in the map has gone a long way to clarity the discrepancies that Biafra started existing and brought to abrupt end from 1967-70; An era that marked the Biafrans Holocaust but trickishly tagged "Civil war".

Her Britannic Majestic Emissary (below) to the people of Biafra in 1873 is another shoot to the existence of Biafra Nation before Nigeria's expense in 1914.

In extension, the word "secession" should not be used when any of the ethnicities, forcefully, annexated in Nigeria decides to withdraw from the union having existed before Nigeria, itself. I am referring to Oduduwa Nation, Hausa Nation, etc.

In wider African encompass, majority, if not all of the various ethnic nationalities experienced the Nigeria fate with the coming of the colonial masters. And so, if any part choose to be on their own in the near future, nobody should ascribe them to be seceding.

Surprisingly, places or continents where the word "secession" should be or, is expected to be predominantly utilize is bereft of usage. In Europe, for instance, virtually all the nations had retained and is with its original state of existence hence any nation clamoring separation should be termed as seceding. Example, Scotland is moving the motion to secede from Britain. Rhodesians also seceded from Britain in 1967.

In like manner as Europe, with the restoration of Biafra as an independent State, any nation within Biafra State that may decide to can be rightfully asserted to be seceding.

This is the fact, this is the reality, this is the basis for etymological tutorials.
