The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has clarified the air regarding the purported news circulating online, alleging that people are not to go to their places of Worship on Biafra Sunday, May 30th, a day set aside to commemorate Biafran fallen heros and heroines.

IPOB in a press statement issued a directive for a total shutdown on May 30th in honour of Biafrans killed during Biafra Holocaust war (1967-70) which has lingered till today, courtesy of "murderous Nigeria state".

JournalReporters learnt that the purported news, whose sources are yet-to-be known, also accused Kanu of being authoritative, interrogated why IPOB Leader is becoming allegedly a tyrant.

But speaking in a radio Biafra Question&Answer session on Monday morning, IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu debunked the said news as fake and malicious, stating that it is the handwork of Nigerian DSS, whom he said have descended to the level of "Tombo-bar Gossipers" in other to sow internal enmity among Biafrans

"I want to address a cheap, local, tombo-bar gossip. You know we have 'Wine bar' and we have 'Tombo bar'. There is a kind of gossip going around – Tombo gossip, you know the one we have in village bar where they eat oil bean seed (Ugba) with nkwobi.

"You Know when you go to wine bar, you drink wine with your cocktail and you're well dressed and all the rest of them but when you go to tombo bar, you can be coming from maybe harvesting añara (Garden Eggs) in the farm and you want to drink a keg of palm wine with ugba; you know the type of gossip that you hear there is different from the one you hear from high and prestigious wine bar." Kanu said

Kanu further stated, "DSS has descended to what I call 'Tombo Gossip'.

Delving extensively on the purported news, Kanu said, "I woke up this morning to some ridiculous news, I think it started yesterday, that somehow there will be no Church services on the 30th (May).

"If we don't go to Church, Temples and the Synagogue to pray for the safe repose of the souls of those that have died, where are we suppose to do it?

"Every Church in Biafra land on that day, May 30th, is going to pray for the souls of our dear departed brethren, like the very gallant Ikonso. Do you understand that? That's what is going to happen

"Nobody is going to ban any Church services, nobody has the right to because nobody can interfere with the faith and worship of people. Do you understand it?

"Nobody is going to interfere with Church services, never! Not now, not tomorrow, not ever. Nobody can even stop you from going to Native Doctors if that is what you want to do, it's entirely your business.

"So we must put to bed all these stupid, wishy-washy, idiotic propaganda by DSS of the z** (Nigeria Government)." Kanu adviced Biafrans

He continued, "Bandit are ravaging their villages, making their lives a misery and all they (DSS) can do is sit around and gossip about something they know nothing about.

"There will be Church services on 30th. People that want to go to Church they are free to do so. But every Church must pray to E'lohim in heaven, Chukwu Okike Abiama puru ime ihe niile, for the safe repose of the souls of those that died in the Holocaust that was the Biafran war and lives lost up until this very day."
